As a Senior Oracle DBA and Architect, Dean combines hands-on technical knowledge with strategic insight to help organizations navigate complex licensing landscapes.

    Dean holds an impressive array of industry certifications that demonstrate his technical depth: Oracle ACE Associate (2020), VMware vExpert (2019), Oracle Database 12c OCM (2016), Oracle Database 12c OCP (2013), Oracle Managing Oracle on Linux Certified Expert (2011), and Oracle Database 11g OCM (2010). These certifications represent the highest levels of expertise in Oracle database administration and architecture.

    Dr. Michael Corey

    Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder

    Dr. Michael Corey is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of LicenseFortress®. A successful serial entrepreneur, business and technology advisor, Michael has worked with relational databases for over 35 years, starting with Oracle Version 3.

    Under Michael's leadership, Database Technologies became the first East Coast consulting firm to specialize in Oracle, experiencing triple-digit growth. In 1997, it was recognized by both Deloitte & Touche and Hale and Dorr as the fastest growing technology company in New England and the 51st fastest growing technology company in the United States. In 1998, Database Technologies was successfully sold to PKS Systems Integration LLC, a division of Level 3 Communications. Michael later founded Ntirety, one of the first Managed Service Companies in the world focused on database services and consulting, which he sold to HOSTING in 2014.

    Michael is a recognized Oracle ACE, VMware vExpert, and former Microsoft Data Platform MVP. In 2014 and 2017, he was recognized as one of the Top 100 people who influence the cloud. He is the original Oracle Press author, having written several books published by Oracle Press and VMware Press on topics including virtualizing SQL Server, Oracle database administration, and data warehousing. He is a frequent contributor to Database Trends and Applications and Big Data Quarterly.

    An active member of the technology community, Michael is a past president of the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) and helped establish the Professional Association of SQL Server (PASS). He is the original recipient of the IOUG "Special Recognition" award (now the Chris Wooldridge Award) and received the only Lifetime Membership ever awarded by the Independent Oracle Users Group. Michael also received a gubernatorial appointment to the Massachusetts Robert H. Goddard Council for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. He received his doctoral degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
